VOTE! Hamada stolen from Ron Philbeck's blog

A line of about 50 people were waiting at 7 a.m. at The Navigator, a Portuguese social club near us, which is where our precinct votes. It was a 20-minute wait, which is a long one for that particular precinct, but this is an important election. Get out and vote, folks.
And now I return to my glazing, already in progress.

I remember back in 2000 when I first started my apprenticeship. My teacher's daughter asked me who I wanted to win the Presidential race and without hesitation, I said Gore. I asked her and she said "I think Bush will be better for Japan." I told her I was pretty sure Gore would be better.

I didn't know how right I was. I told her Gore was friends with the Mondales. She knew the Mondales, because they visted the pottery when they were ambassedors, and also MacKenzie's Tokyo shows that I knew she visited.

Whe Obama won, my first thought was back to my school days, and hearing that Bobby Kennedy was shot. John, Martin and Bobby. The dream was put on hold for 40 years. It is back now!

And amen, again ... I think this will be an interesting and much more satisfying next four years. Maybe, with luck, next eight years.
