The Dark Time
I am a maker of functional clay work on Cape Cod. I work at The Barn Pottery in Pocasset with my life partner Kimberly Sheerin. Kim has worked in this studio more than 20 years. I joined her here four years ago, leaving my former Hatchville Pottery in Falmouth. We work together, making our own work, but occasionally collaborating. We're open at 359 Barlows Landing Road in Pocasset 12 months a year. Pleaser stop by.

Ah, Rainier! I used to work for Jansport, and we had many a meeting in Seattle. The Rainier Mt guides always came to our parties, pretty intense folks. Can't believe I'm going to be walking around in the blazing sun for five days and you were walking around in the snow! Isn't Seattle the best!!
wow! and it's in the 90's here... sounds like a great time
Seattle's a great city. Great food, beer, coffee, people. Jansport would have been a good outfit to be part of. We were at Feathered Friends, Outdoor and More and REI while we were in the city. And Jim, it was 90 in the city the day before we went up to Rainier, so you can have it both ways out there.
It was great to have y'all out -- an action-packed trip. I think Hopi was wandering around all day yesterday wondering where her daytime babysitters had gone.
We did pack a lot into a week. You guys can now get some sleep.
I was really surprised with this photo so here, in Barcelona, is almost summer time.
Well, Maria, Chinook Pass, where I made the photo, is at about 5,400 feet in altitude. Which is, I think, more than 1,500 meters. So it's pretty high, and still quite cold.
