I've had a little success with rolling heavy slab trays in the past few weeks. Here are two more from Sunday's firing. Plus a group of small cups saggar-fired in sawdust on the bottom shelf.

those trays are beauties... i don't know why but lately i am obsessed with trays (other peoples that is, since i have hardly made any).
that is some craggy clay you are using and it seems to work well with your shino glazes.
There are folks that love the craggy- the more the better.
Our friend Geoff Pickett was looking for that same sort of clay when he was here about 28 years back.
he wedged in some white flints- needless to say all the stuff leaked- but it was craggy!

LOVE the trays!! Beautiful, rich, earthy ~ I plan to work on the shinos...see if I can get them to rock like yours- good recipe and proper heat, right?

The crawl on those Shinos is soooo nice. That's really something to shoot for.
