A stoking moment from last weeked

Kim Medeiros set fire to the first kindling this past weekend at the Castle Hill kiln at the Highlands Center in Truro. Pretty early, maybe about 7 that morning, I was coherent enough to turn on my video camera and use it a bit.

kinda dark there Hollis. It was hard to see anything.
I love your walking dead kiln. It would have given me the creeps. Then again I have visited potters where you don't know what you will find until you are there.
Cities can be iffy as in one place we went behind lock and key. We had to stand there and wait and beg to be let in. Then once we were in it was wonderful.

Thanks, Meredith. The video was much higher quality before it uploaded. I had the same problem. Might take it down and try again. And you're right about visiting strange places like this. The kiln and shed and crew are all very friendly and welcoming, but the rotting Air Force base is pretty creepy.

Did you see the bowling alley building? That place IS creepy, especially in the wee hours of he night. I hope that the results treat you right.

I saw the building, Dan, but they've nailed plywood over the back opening, so couldn't go into it. Apparently the lanes are still there, with lots of good wood for flooring, furniture ... or stoking.

Well, Meredith ... they must have done something to it, because I haven't had a chance to re-submit. Glad it's working for you.
