Snow started falling here in Hatchville this morning at about dawn. It's now after 2 p.m., there is a six-inch blanket on the ground and there are no signs of the snow stopping. So winter came to us, after all.
Dee had no massage clients today, so she's here doing bookkeeping and drinking tea. I am working in the studio, occasionally looking out at the snow, glazing pot by pot for next week's firing. Not a bad day.

Days like this make me appreciate having a warm place to work.
Wow, it's so pretty when it's somewhere else, it's a gloomy day here but at least it's warm!
It is good to see the weather behaving at last!
Just don't send it over here for a week!!
and, I love the new name pen galle seems so nice in the snow. I love seeing YOUR snow...hugs to Dee and you,of course.
No sign of winter proper here at all. Couple of frosts and a day of light snow. That's all, otherwise windy windy windy and wet wet wet and rather mild. Odd. Shelter Island has lots of snow I hear too.
In Barcelona almost never snows, for us is something exceptional, but I enjoy it when it snows, is as a gift.
great no1 pic Hollis!!! it wouldn't last a second here today though :))
The snow stayed south this time and missed us :(
I love that top photo- all gray with the pops of color, really beautiful!
Love your pottery in the snow. We got 4-5 inches in southern RI. I didn't even bother to go out for the papers yesterday. Starting to melt today.
Yikes thats a lot of snow! We haven't had any snow yet but its been forecast for the last two weeks now. Those are some frosty looking pots!
Hollis, this is a stunning photo.
