More grits, more ice cream, the man's doing OK

These updates are singing the same tune every day. Finnegan keeps getting better. Here's the latest tonight from Jerry Brent, correspondent at Mary Washington Hospital:

"Dan continues to do well. They want him up as much as possible and he did 15 laps around the floor! Still eating cream soup and grits. The doc says he's progressing nicely. Still no official word on when he may get out."

Really appreciate the updates.
Thanks, Scott

You're welcome. We'll keep posting them as we get them, up to the point that Dan gets back on his own blog and can speak for his own colon.

Thanks, Hollis. I've been getting updates from the studio, too, but these are the icing on the cake.

Now I want to go eat some grits, with lots of butter!

Ron tried explaing grits to me but I'm still not comprehending them.

Grits is Southern US home cookin', Hannah. Kinda like polenta, but not quite. Also called cornmeal mush, but can be quite sophisticated, with cheese, ham, green onions, other things mixed in with the corn. Damn fine eatin'.

It sounds like some of the things in my budgie's cage still.
Well, maybe on my world tour I'll try some.

Pretty funny, Hannah. Now you're certain to have grits forced on you at every stop on the tour.
