What's that on my wheelhead???

Why, it's a fine slipware mug by Doug Fitch, also known in Trans-Atlantic circles as Santa Doug. I had the good fortune of being matched up in the Blogger Secret Santa Project with Mr. Fitch, of Hollyford in Devon, UK.
The mug arrived Saturday, via Royal Mail, and has since been shown off at the Sunday morning services of the Church of Coffee Obsession in Woods Hole and is now holding my morning coffee in the studio. Thank you, Doug. A fine addition to our kitchen mug cabinet.
By the way, there is out there at least one potter who is thinking that Santa forgot him. Never fear. Santa was waylaid by the holidays ... but he will keep all of his appointed rounds.

Hurrahhh another one arrived! Excellent. I'm amazed he got that posted to you before next Christmas though Holis, you are honoured! (but you know I love you Doug, friendly joshing!)

Ha, yes Doug just lives 10 steps away from the PO but he seems to have a hard time getting in there. Very nice mug. Enjoy!!

There may be more than one secret santa-less blogger out there who shouldn't despair...Nice mug!

If I read you correctly, Dan, I suspect you're right. But hope springs eternal. And the post office opens again tomorrow. And yes, a very nice mug.
And Ang, it's hard when there are so many Santas. There are sooooo many chances for "week breaks."

That was supposed to be "wee breaks." But, actually, "week breaks" works well, too.

Glad it arrived, pretty well organised for me! Happy Christmas!

By the way, the combed 'design' is inspired by the grasses in the field where I walk Digger the Dog

Happy Christmas to you, Doug. And I love the grassy inspiration for the combing.

hey hollis... lucky you, it's a beautiful cup. when i read that you didn't receive it until saturday, i figured there was still hope and then you mentioned the one person out there who probably was starting to think it was lost in the mail or something... hmmm, interesting clue

Nothing wrong with extending the Holiday past the 25th -especially when the present is so lovely! Worth the wait.

Lovely mug, indeed, Cindy. And Jim, see also Finnegan's comment above.
